What really sold me on this place – and why I’d definitely book it again – is how it strikes this perfect balance between luxury and practicality. The kitchen is actually equipped for real cooking (I mean, proper knives, decent pots, not the usual apartment rental junk), which came in handy since Starý Smokovec’s restaurant scene, while charming, can get pricey if you’re eating out every meal. The bedroom setup works brilliantly for couples or small families, and the bathroom… well, let’s just say after a long day on the trails to Zamkovského chata, that shower pressure was exactly what I needed. The whole senior lux designation isn’t just marketing speak – there’s genuine attention to comfort here, from the bedding quality to the way the space is laid out. You’re right in the heart of Starý Smokovec too, which means you can walk to the funicular station for Hrebienok in about five minutes, and the main strip with its cafés and that little grocery store is literally right outside.

Here’s what I really appreciated though – it’s quiet. Despite being so central, C413 faces away from the main road, so you don’t get the early morning bus noise that can wake you up in some of the other accommodations around here. The building itself feels well-maintained and secure, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. I’d honestly rate this a solid 9 out of 10, and the only reason it’s not perfect is that parking can be a bit tricky during peak season (though that’s more of a Starý Smokovec issue than a property issue). If you’re planning to use this as a base for exploring the Tatras – whether that’s taking the cable car up to Lomnický štít or just wandering around the beautiful walking paths near the Grand Hotel – this apartment gives you that perfect combination of mountain luxury and real-world convenience that’s surprisingly hard to find in this area.
