The whole saffron hill (that’s what “szafranowe wzgórze” means, by the way) area is surprisingly quiet, which is perfect if you’re planning to tackle the Śnieżka trail early and need actual sleep. The 8.5 rating makes sense once you spend a night here – it’s not trying to be some fancy resort, but it nails the mountain house vibe without the usual compromises. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the place actually smells good – like pine and cleanliness, not that stale rental property smell you sometimes get.
