Svit Sontsya turned out to be a real gem in Polyanskaya Guta village — I never would have thought I’d find such a cozy four-star hotel in this quiet corner of Transcarpathia. When I drove here last autumn, honestly, I was a bit worried (the address Village Polyanskaya Guta 117 sounded quite remote), but from first glance I understood — this was exactly what I needed to escape the city hustle. The staff welcomed me very warmly, check-in went smoothly, and they immediately showed me where to park — this matters because there’s practically no public transport here.
The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely mountain view that’s especially striking in the morning when fog slowly dissipates. Breakfast is served until 10:00 AM (no later!), and I recommend not missing it — the local dishes are truly delicious, especially the Transcarpathian potato pancakes and homemade cheese. The hotel is located quietly, the only “noise” being birdsong and occasional sounds from neighboring homesteads, but this rather adds authenticity. WiFi works decently even in the rooms, though I came here precisely to disconnect from the internet. In winter, as locals told me, it’s especially beautiful here — snow lies all around and you can ski nearby, but I was there in autumn and enjoyed the golden colors of the leaves. For this price and comfort level in Turʼya Polyana — it’s an excellent choice for those seeking peace and genuine hospitality.
