You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to Studia CENTRUM on Mickiewicza Street – honestly, the name sounds pretty generic and the building blends right into the neighborhood. But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s right in the heart of Karpacz, which means you can literally walk to everything that matters without dealing with the tourist shuttle madness that happens further up the mountain.
The thing about staying on Mickiewicza is that you’re basically on the main artery of town, but somehow it doesn’t feel chaotic. I mean, yes, there’s foot traffic during the day (especially when people are heading to the cable car), but it quiets down pretty nicely in the evenings. The studios themselves are what really won me over though – they’ve got this clean, unfussy vibe that feels more like staying in a friend’s well-organized apartment than some sterile hotel room. Everything you actually need is there, and nothing you don’t. The kitchenette situation is solid too, which is huge because eating out for every meal in Karpacz can get expensive fast, especially during ski season.
What I really appreciated was how the place feels connected to the real Karpacz, not just the tourist version. You’re close enough to Śnieżka that you can see it from some of the windows, but you’re also near the little bakery that locals actually use and that grocery store where prices aren’t completely inflated for visitors. Parking was surprisingly manageable too – I was dreading the whole mountain town parking nightmare, but they’ve got it figured out better than most places around here. The staff actually knows the area well, which sounds obvious but you’d be amazed how many hotel people in tourist towns are just going through the motions. These folks gave me solid recommendations that weren’t just the standard “go to Wang Church” speech everyone gets. Check-in was smooth, no weird surprise fees or awkward upselling attempts. The rooms stay warm even when it’s properly cold outside (important if you’re visiting in winter), and the Wi-Fi actually works, which honestly can’t be taken for granted in some of these mountain locations. If you’re looking for a place that lets you experience Karpacz without feeling like you’re trapped in a tourist bubble, this is it.
