So I stumbled across Skyview Apartment during a last-minute trip to Kościelisko, and honestly? Best accidental booking I’ve made in years. The thing is, most people rushing to Zakopane completely miss this little gem tucked away on Kierpcówka street – which, let me tell you, is exactly why you want to stay here instead of fighting the crowds down in the main tourist zone.

The apartment itself is just… well, it’s one of those places where someone actually thought about how people live, you know? The kitchen has proper counter space (revolutionary concept, I know), and the bathroom doesn’t require you to be a contortionist to shower. But here’s what really got me – the views. I mean, the name’s not lying about the “skyview” part. You wake up to the Tatras just sitting there outside your window like some ridiculous postcard, except it’s real and you’re actually there with your morning coffee. The balcony catches the afternoon light perfectly, and I probably spent way too much time out there just watching the weather roll across the mountains. There’s something about the way the light hits those peaks around 6 PM that makes you forget to check your phone for a while.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – you’re close enough to walk into Kościelisko proper (maybe 10 minutes if you’re not rushing), but far enough from the main road that you don’t hear every car heading to Zakopane. The parking situation is actually sorted out, which is more than I can say for a lot of places around here. And the owner clearly knows the area – they left this little handwritten note with recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. Honestly, some of the best pierogi I had on that trip came from a place they suggested that I never would’ve found otherwise. The whole setup just feels like staying at someone’s well-appointed mountain house rather than some sterile vacation rental. You’ll pay a bit more than the basic spots, but when you’re dealing with mountain views, actual space to spread out, and that kind of genuine local insight, it’s worth every złoty.
