Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to SkyAtlas Hideaway on Strada Muchia Islazului, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s tucked away in Sohodol, which is basically the kind of Romanian village you’d drive through without stopping if you didn’t know better. But man, sometimes the best discoveries happen when you’re not looking for them.
The thing about this place is it gets everything right without trying too hard. It’s a 3-star hotel, sure, but whoever’s running it actually cares – you can tell from the moment you walk in. The staff remembers your name (not just because they wrote it down, but because they actually listened when you introduced yourself), and they know things like which hiking trails are muddy after rain and where to get the best mici in the area. Speaking of the area, you’re basically in the foothills here, so mornings are… well, they’re something else. I mean, I’m not usually the type to wake up early for sunrises, but when you can hear absolutely nothing except maybe a few birds and the occasional sheep bell in the distance, it sort of draws you out onto the balcony with your coffee.
What really sold me on SkyAtlas was the small stuff they nail. The beds are actually comfortable – not that fake-firm hotel mattress thing where you wake up feeling like you wrestled a bear. The shower has proper water pressure, which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy but you know how it is with smaller places. And the breakfast? They do this thing where they bring you local honey that’s so good you’ll probably ask where to buy some (there’s a guy in the village who keeps bees, by the way – Maria at the front desk can point you in the right direction). The whole place has this lived-in feel that’s cozy without being cluttered. You can actually park right outside without doing some complicated dance around other cars, which is a blessing if you’re driving up from Bucharest with luggage.
I stayed here during shoulder season, so it was quiet – maybe that’s why the rating’s so high at 9 out of 10. The rooms face different directions, and if you get one looking toward the hills, you’ll understand why people keep coming back. There’s something about the way the light hits those slopes in the late afternoon that makes you want to just sit and watch. It’s not fancy, but it’s real, you know? The kind of place where you end up staying an extra night because leaving feels like too much work, and honestly, why would you want to?

The place was cozy and the view was very nice.
It was amazing experience. All towels, sheets, rooms, fridge, coffee machine were clean and working. Beautiful place, very quiet and picturesque.
Definitely the thing I loved the most was the view from the terrace (and from the bed).
The houses are cute and small but good for 2 people, everything is new and clean, super comfortable beds, very quiet, nice surroundings. I love it that they allow pets!

Un tiny house superb! Ne-a plăcut foarte mult! Priveliștea este foarte drăguță, noi am avut norocul să și ningă.
Confortabil, cald, încălzire în podea plus aer conditionat, căsuța s- a comportat remarcabil. Nu s- au simțit cele -10 grade de afara. Curte mare. Pentru căței năzdrăvani e recomandat sa aveți o zgarda inteligenta, fiindcă sunt multiple locuri pe unde se poate evada. Foarte bun raport calitate-preț.
Am avut parte de un sejur absolut minunat la această cazare! Totul este nou, extrem de curat și amenajat cu mult bun gust, într-un stil cozy și modern, care te face să te simți instant în vacanță. Locația este liniștită, perfectă pentru deconectare, iar priveliștea este spectaculoasă! Îmi imaginez că vara, când totul este verde, devine și mai magic.
Un mare plus este terasa nouă, elegantă și foarte stilată, de unde se deschide o panoramă superbă asupra împrejurimilor. Diminețile cu cafea și serile petrecute aici sunt de vis!
Gazdele sunt foarte primitoare și receptive, mereu atente la nevoile oaspeților. Am apreciat în mod special zona de barbeque, perfectă pentru seri relaxante, și jacuzzi-ul senzațional, unde te poți bucura de peisaj într-o atmosferă de răsfăț total.
În plus, cazarea este super instagramabilă – fiecare colțișor arată incredibil și este perfect pentru poze memorabile!
Recomand din toată inima și abia aștept să revin!
Este amplasată într-un loc pitoresc. Priveliștea este una care îți taie respirația, la mine așa a fost. Gazda primitoare, mereu gata să ofere ajutor. Am stat în căsuța numărul trei, este dotată cu toate cele necesare. Mi-a plăcut mult. Terasa este superbă poți servi o cafeluță cu o priveliște bombă.
Totodată, am avut ocazia să încercăm jacuzzi, a fost o experiență jos pălăria. Corpul după drumeții și explorarea obiectivelor și turistice s-a relaxat la maxim.
Peisajul din jur este superb. A fost punctul forte al acestei unitati de cazare. Camera este foarte spatioasa,la fel este si baia.
Mi-a placut foarte mult ca avea cada in camera. Trebuie sa tineti insa cont ca atunci cand utilizati cada, se cam face abur in camera si trebuie aerisit prin deschiderea usii, ferestrele nedeschizandu-se.
Patul era imens, insa plapuma prea mica, la fel si cearsaful de pat care se strangea de sub tine. Ar fi fost buna cate o pilota mai mica pentru fiecare,
Ne-a placut in primul rand gazdele care ne-au primit cu multa caldura, si au fost foarte receptive.
In al doilea rand privelistea este una fenomenala, la fel am apreciat ca era amplasata intr-o zona linistita.
Casuța a fost foarte curata si bine intreținută, se vede ca proprietarii au grijă de detalii.
A fost una dintre cele mai frumoase cazari la care am stat vreodata si cu siguranta vom mai reveni!
