Just got back from Skyta in Vorokhta — and it was a really pleasant surprise! This three-star hotel is located on Zavodska Street, a bit away from the main tourist hustle, which turned out to be a big plus. Actually, I was initially a bit worried about the street name (doesn’t sound very romantic), but it turned out to be a quiet area with nice mountain views. The staff is very friendly — at reception they greeted me with a smile and quickly processed my check-in, even though I arrived a bit earlier than the official check-in time.
The rooms are quite cozy, without any special frills, but everything necessary is there — clean bedding, hot water works consistently, Wi-Fi reception is decent. What I liked most was that the window offers a nice view of the Carpathian slopes, especially in the morning when fog slowly rises upward. The hotel has a small dining room where they serve home-style food — I tried borscht and varenyky, tasty and homemade (prices are quite reasonable). Parking is right next to the building, which is very convenient, especially in winter. You can walk to Vorokhta’s main attractions — the ski lift, restaurants, souvenir shops — in 10-15 minutes at a leisurely pace.
One thing to keep in mind — the walls aren’t very thick, so if neighbors are noisy, it can be a bit loud (but I was lucky with quiet neighbors). Overall, for the price-quality ratio it’s quite a decent option for those who don’t need luxury but just want to sleep comfortably after a day in the mountains. I would return here again, especially in autumn or spring when there are fewer tourists and nature is particularly beautiful.
