I stayed in February, which is peak madness in Karpacz, but checking in was seamless – no crowds, no waiting around in the lobby with a bunch of ski gear. The parking situation is sorted too, which anyone who’s driven around Karpacz during high season will appreciate.

What I really liked was how they seemed to get the balance right between being helpful and not hovering. They had solid recommendations for hiking trails that weren’t completely overrun with tour groups, and when I mentioned I was interested in the old spa buildings, they actually drew out a little walking route on a map. You can tell they know their neighborhood – not just the obvious tourist spots, but the quirky local stuff too. The whole experience felt more like staying with knowledgeable friends than just booking a room for the night.
