Шале Лаванда was a real discovery for me during my trip to the Carpathians last autumn. This four-star hotel is located right on Ivan Franko Street in Skole — a quiet part of the city where you can easily park your car (which isn’t always easy to find in the mountains). The staff welcomed us very warmly, although check-in was slightly delayed because the previous guests were late with checkout. The rooms look modern but tasteful — not that intrusive glamour you often encounter in hotels of this level.
I especially liked that the windows face the mountains rather than the road (though there isn’t much noise even from that side). Breakfast is served until 10:30, which is convenient for those who like to sleep in after mountain hikes. The menu is quite diverse — there are both traditional Ukrainian dishes and something more European. The coffee is decent, though I’m used to stronger. The staff speaks Ukrainian and English, which helps foreign tourists (there are quite a few of them there). The hotel operates year-round, but in autumn and winter the atmosphere is especially cozy — you can sit by the fireplace with a cup of hot tea after a walk.
The only thing that slightly disappointed me was the Wi-Fi in some rooms doesn’t work very stably (especially on the third floor), but for a mountain getaway this is even a plus — fewer temptations to sit on your phone. Overall, Шале Лаванда left me with very positive impressions, and I would definitely return here again. The price-quality ratio is honest, especially when compared to hotels in Bukovel or other popular resorts.
Hotels in Bukovel offer convenient access to ski slopes, where guests can easily reach chairlifts, spa centers, and authentic Hutsul restaurants.
