And here’s something I didn’t expect: the soundproofing is surprisingly good. Even with other families around, evenings stay pretty peaceful. The kitchenettes are properly equipped too, not just a mini-fridge and a prayer. I mean, you can actually cook a real meal if you want to save some lei or if someone’s being picky about Romanian food.

The staff clearly knows the area inside and out, which makes a huge difference when you’re traveling with kids. They’ll tell you which trails around the zoo are stroller-friendly, what time the crowds thin out at Park Aventura, and – this was clutch – where to find a pharmacy that’s open late. Check-in was smooth, parking’s included (and trust me, you want that confirmation in writing in this part of Brașov), and they genuinely seem to care about making families comfortable. The 9.4 rating isn’t just because everything’s new and shiny – though it is well-maintained. It’s because they’ve thought through what families actually need when they’re exploring this part of Romania. Sure, it’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but honestly? When you’re wrangling kids and trying to see everything Brașov has to offer, comfort and location trump marble bathrooms every time.
