Sadyba Ellada turned out to be a real gem in Yaremche — a three-star hotel that exceeded my expectations. Located on 200-richchia Yaremche Street, it’s close enough to the center but in a quiet area where you can only hear the Prut River at night. Parking is free (which isn’t always a given in Yaremche), and the owners are incredibly welcoming — they met us personally, showed us around, and told us about the best local hiking trails. The rooms are clean with nice renovations, though Wi-Fi can be a bit moody on the third floor.
What really impressed me was breakfast — homemade pastries, local cheeses, and incredibly delicious Hutsul porridge with mushrooms. The hosts clearly know their local cuisine and don’t spare any effort for their guests. It’s especially cozy in autumn: you can see the golden mountain slopes from the windows, and in the evenings you can sit by the fireplace in the common room. It’s about a 15-minute drive to the Bukovel ski lift, but honestly, the beauty of the surrounding forests and waterfalls is worth staying in Yaremche for a few extra days. The only downside — in winter the paths to the hotel can be slippery, so bring appropriate footwear. For the money, this is a wonderful place for a peaceful getaway in the Carpathians — the 8.0 rating is well deserved.
