Sadyba Kazkove Dzherelo turned out to be a real gem in the heart of the Carpathians — I stumbled upon this place by accident while looking for a quiet spot to escape the city hustle. This four-star hotel is located in Verkhovyna on Popovycha Street, and from the first glance, it’s clear that everything here is designed for a genuine mountain getaway. Parking is free (which is rare for popular tourist spots), and the front desk operates 24/7 — I arrived late in the evening, but was greeted with a smile and hot tea.
The rooms are spacious and cozy, with wooden décor elements that create an authentic Carpathian atmosphere. Windows face the mountains, and in the morning you wake up to an incredible view — especially in autumn, when the forests blaze with all shades of yellow and red. Wi-Fi works reliably (tested during rainy weather when I had to stay in the room), and hot water is always available, which is important after hiking mountain trails. The staff here is local, knows all the best routes, and gladly shares where to look for the tastiest mushrooms or most beautiful waterfalls.
Breakfast is served in a restaurant with panoramic windows — homemade pastries, local cheeses, honey straight from the apiaries. Winter here is especially cozy: the fireplace works, and everything around is covered with snow, like in a real fairy tale (probably not for nothing the hotel is named this way). The only downside — summer can be a bit noisy due to tourist groups, but if you ask for a room on the quiet side, there won’t be any problems. For this price and location — it’s truly a wonderful option for those who want to experience the real Carpathians, not tourist showiness.
Travelers should book a hotel in Bukovel at least two months ahead for major events such as ski competitions and mountain festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular mountain attractions.
