Sadyba Drymba Overview
Sadyba Drymba turned out to be a real discovery for me during my last trip to the Carpathians. This three-star hotel is located on Dovbusha Street in the very center of Skhidnitsa, which proved incredibly convenient — the mineral water pump room is literally a five-minute leisurely walk away. Parking is free right at the hotel (which is a big plus in a resort town), and check-in went smoothly despite our late arrival around nine in the evening.
The rooms are quite spacious and clean, with wooden furniture that adds that authentic Carpathian atmosphere. Wi-Fi works stably even on the second floor, though it sometimes slows down in the morning — probably due to many guests online. Breakfast is served in a cozy dining room from 8:00 to 10:00, nothing fancy but tasty and filling (I especially liked the homemade syrniki and wild berry jam). The staff is friendly and always ready to suggest where to take a nice walk or where to try authentic Hutsul cuisine.
What I particularly enjoyed was the nighttime quiet, even though the hotel is downtown. Skhidnitsa is generally a peaceful place, but it’s still nice when you can sleep properly after an active day in the mountains. In summer, they say it gets a bit noisier due to more tourists, but in October it was perfect. By the way, I recommend taking rooms with mountain views — the surcharge is small, but the impressions are unforgettable, especially at sunrise. Overall, for the money Sadyba Drymba provides a good level of comfort and service, I’ll definitely return here again.
