Just got back from Rixos-Prykarpattya Resort, and I have to say — it’s a real gem in Truskavets. This five-star hotel is located on Gorodyshche Street, a bit away from the main tourist hustle, which is actually great (especially in the morning when you want to quietly enjoy your coffee). Parking is free and quite spacious — important if you’re driving your own car. Check-in went smoothly, though reception can get a bit busy in the evenings when tour buses with groups arrive.
The rooms are really nice, with modern renovations and decent views — I got one with a balcony overlooking the park. Air conditioning runs quietly (checked right away, because in summer that’s critical), and the bathroom is more spacious than average in Ukrainian hotels. Wi-Fi works reliably even on the balcony. Breakfast is a whole story: the buffet is quite diverse, though sometimes by 9 AM some dishes manage to run out, so better not to drag your feet. The spa center is really worth attention — after a whole day of walking around the city, a massage here was like a gift from heaven.
The location is perfect for those who came to treat themselves with mineral waters — it’s a leisurely 10-12 minute walk to the main pump rooms, and even less to the city center. Staff is mostly friendly and speaks Ukrainian, which is pleasant. The only downside — in autumn (I was there in October) the hotel corridors were a bit chilly, probably hadn’t turned on full heating yet. Overall, for the price-quality ratio I’m quite satisfied — I recommend it, especially if you’re looking for comfort without excessive pompousness.
The concierge service in the Carpathians can arrange exclusive Hutsul village tours, secure private mineral spring visits, and organize trips to ancient Khotyn Fortress and pristine Synevyr Lake.
