Ribas Karpaty turned out to be a real gem in Polanytsia — we ended up here by accident when our first choice fell through, but now I’m glad it happened that way. This four-star hotel is located in Vyshny area, a bit away from the main Bukovel hustle, which gives you a sense of privacy, but the lifts are still within easy reach. Parking is free (which is very valuable during peak season), and the reception staff speaks several languages and actually helps rather than just nodding. The rooms are spacious with great mountain views — the morning sunrises are absolutely incredible, especially in autumn when the forests blaze with all shades of yellow and red.
What I particularly loved was the on-site restaurant where they cook very decent home-style cuisine (the borscht there is authentic, not touristy), and the spa center with a pool that’s a lifesaver after a full day on the slopes. The water temperature is perfect, and the sauna runs until late. In winter the hotel is buzzing with life — skiers, snowboarders, families with kids, but somehow it doesn’t feel overcrowded. Summer is also wonderful here for hiking and just escaping the city chaos. The only downside — wi-fi in some rooms is a bit slow, but honestly, that’s even a plus because it forces you to disconnect from work and truly enjoy the mountains.
