Resort Hotel Karpaty turned out to be a pleasant surprise during my trip to Truskavets last summer. This four-star hotel is located on Karpatska Street, literally a five-minute walk from the main pump room — very convenient for morning mineral water treatments. The reception staff speaks several languages, which really helped during check-in, although there was quite a queue (we arrived during peak season). There’s parking available, but there aren’t always enough spots — better to arrive before noon if you’re driving.
The rooms are quite spacious, with balconies offering views of the Carpathian slopes. The air conditioning worked without problems, which is important in July when Truskavets can get quite stuffy. WiFi works well even on the upper floors. Breakfast is the classic hotel buffet format, nothing extraordinary, but you won’t leave hungry. I especially liked the local cheese and homemade jams. The pool operates from morning until evening, the water is heated, though it can get crowded sometimes — there are quite a few families with children. The SPA center is also decent, I booked massages in advance (popular among guests). The hotel is popular with Ukrainians and Poles, the atmosphere is friendly, but weekends can get a bit noisy in the lobby. It’s about a ten-minute leisurely walk to Naftusha Park, and even closer to the restaurants on the main street. Overall, Resort Hotel Karpaty is a reliable choice for a therapeutic vacation without particular luxuries, but with everything necessary for a comfortable stay.
