The villa itself has this lived-in comfort that you just can’t fake. The billiard room downstairs became our evening hangout spot (and I’m terrible at pool, but somehow that felt perfect here), while the BBQ area out back turned into the heart of our stay. There’s something about grilling your own dinner with the Tatras literally looming over you that makes even store-bought sausages taste incredible. The WiFi actually works properly throughout the place – I was skeptical given how remote it feels, but I had zero issues with video calls back home. The TV setup is straightforward, though honestly, we barely used it because the mountain views from most windows are pretty compelling entertainment on their own.

Check-in was refreshingly simple, parking is right there (which matters more than you’d think when you’re hauling ski gear or hiking packs), and the kitchen is properly stocked – not just token appliances but stuff you’d actually want to use. The location puts you about 15 minutes from Tatranská Lomnica if you want the resort scene, but you’re also perfectly positioned for those lesser-known trails that snake up toward Skalnaté Pleso. I’d honestly come back just for the morning coffee routine on their terrace – there’s this particular spot where you catch the sunrise hitting Lomnický štít that’s worth the entire trip. It’s the kind of place where a 4-star rating feels exactly right, and that 9-point rating makes complete sense once you’ve spent a few days here.
