Приватна садиба “Лідія” turned out to be a real gem during my trip to Truskavets. Located on Danylyshynykh street on the second floor, this four-star guesthouse offers the cozy atmosphere of a private home with all hotel amenities. The hosts are incredibly welcoming people who know tons of useful things about local springs and the best routes to the pump room. Check-in went smoothly (even a bit earlier than official time), and parking right by the house is a huge plus, especially during peak season when Truskavets center is literally packed with cars.
The rooms are quite spacious, with nice wooden furniture and everything needed for a comfortable stay. WiFi works reliably, hot water is always available, and the windows offer pleasant views of the green courtyards of neighboring guesthouses. Sound insulation is decent — sometimes you hear neighbors returning in the evening, but it adds homely coziness rather than being disruptive. Breakfasts (if you order them) are made from local products — the homemade cheese pancakes and aromatic coffee were particularly memorable. By the way, hostess Lidiya (probably where the name comes from) told me about a small bakery nearby that bakes incredible croissants — such insider information is priceless!
The location is perfect for those who want to be near the center but not in the thick of tourist chaos. It’s about a fifteen-minute leisurely walk to the main park and pump room, while being surrounded by a quiet residential street with private houses. In autumn (when I was there) everything around is covered with golden leaves, very atmospheric. The only downside is no elevator, but that’s more of a feature of such private guesthouses, so pack light suitcases. For the price-to-quality ratio — I definitely recommend it, especially for those who value personal approach over standard hotel service.
