Prestige Apartament z sauna Zbojnicka Piwnica Krupowki
Honestly, when I first saw the name “Prestige Apartament z sauna Zbojnicka Piwnica Krupowki,” I thought someone had just mashed together every Polish word they could think of. But you know what? This place actually lives up to its wild name – and then some.
The location on Zamoyskiego street is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re close enough to Krupówki (Zakopane’s main drag) that you can stumble back after a night of oscypek cheese and local beer, but far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at 2 AM. I mean, the apartment itself has this cozy mountain cabin vibe going on – lots of wood, warm lighting, and that distinct smell of pine that just screams Tatra Mountains. The sauna is honestly the star of the show here. After spending a day hiking up to Morskie Oko or getting your ass kicked on the slopes at Kasprowy Wierch, sinking into that heat feels like pure magic. It’s not huge – maybe fits four people comfortably – but it gets properly hot and has this rustic stone feel that fits perfectly with the whole Zakopane aesthetic.
What I really appreciated was how the owners clearly get what travelers actually need. The kitchen has proper cookware (not those flimsy tourist apartment pans), there’s decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the shower has legitimate water pressure – which, trust me, isn’t always a given in mountain towns. The apartment sleeps about six people across a couple of rooms, and while the décor is sort of traditional Polish mountain style (think lots of carved wood and folk patterns), it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in a museum. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season – winter holidays and summer hiking months get pretty crazy around here – but there’s usually street parking within a block or two if you’re not hauling massive ski equipment. The building itself is one of those newer constructions that blends in well with Zakopane’s traditional architecture, so you get modern amenities without feeling like you’re in some generic hotel box.
The whole “zbojnicka piwnica” thing in the name refers to the highlander robber legends from this area, which is pretty cheesy but also kind of charming in that authentic local way. You’ll see references to these mountain bandits all over Zakopane – it’s part of the regional identity. What really sealed the deal for me was how quiet it gets at night. Even though you’re walking distance from all the restaurants and bars on Krupówki, the apartment faces away from the main noise, so you can actually sleep without earplugs. And honestly, waking up to mountain views with the option of a morning sauna session? That’s the kind of vacation luxury that doesn’t cost a fortune but feels absolutely indulgent.
