Поляна Аква Резорт
Just returned from Поляна Аква Резорт and I can say — it’s really a pleasant place for a family vacation in the Carpathians. This three-star hotel is located right in the center of the resort town, so you can walk to the mineral springs in five minutes (very convenient in the morning when there aren’t so many tourists yet). The staff is friendly, though sometimes you have to wait a bit at reception during check-in — seems like they’re loaded to capacity in summer.
The rooms are clean and quite spacious, with balconies offering nice mountain views. Air conditioning works well (which is important during hot July days), and Wi-Fi reaches even the upper floors. The aqua zone is the hotel’s main highlight: there are several pools of different depths, a jacuzzi, and even small slides for kids. The water is warm, but keep in mind that on weekends it can get quite noisy with families and small children. The sauna is also decent, though a bit cramped.
Breakfasts are a standard buffet with local dishes and European classics. I especially liked the homemade syrniki and Carpathian herbal tea. Parking is free (which is rare for resort places), but spots are limited, so it’s better to arrive before noon. Overall, for the money Поляна Аква Резорт provides a good balance of comfort and entertainment — perfect for those who want to combine wellness with active recreation in the picturesque Carpathians.
