There’s this little bakery about a five-minute walk away (I won’t spoil the surprise, but get there early for the best selection), and honestly, just wandering around this part of town gives you a much better feel for how people actually live here. Parking was straightforward too, which – let’s be real – can make or break your whole experience when you’re road-tripping through the region. The check-in process was refreshingly simple; none of that drawn-out welcome presentation stuff, just someone who clearly wanted to make sure I had what I needed and knew how to work the heating (which, by the way, worked perfectly during my October stay).
