Pentahouse Mountain Belle Vue
First Impressions
When I first walked into Pentahouse Mountain Belle Vue, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from an apartment rental in Poiana Brasov. But you know what? This four-star place completely surprised me. The building itself is pretty standard Romanian architecture, but once you’re inside apartment 37 on the second floor, the mountain views through those big windows just hit you. I mean, the name “Belle Vue” isn’t just marketing fluff — you actually get those postcard-worthy Carpathian peaks right there.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about staying in Poiana Brasov — location is everything, and this place nails it. You’re literally steps from the ski slopes (they advertise ski-to-door access, and it’s legit), but what I really loved was how quiet Strada Doinașului feels compared to the main tourist strip. The free parking right on site was a lifesaver too, because honestly, finding a spot during ski season can be a nightmare elsewhere. Couples seem to really get this place — I can see why, since you feel tucked away but you’re still close enough to walk to restaurants and the gondola.
The Space Itself
The room setup works really well for what it is. You’ve got a proper kitchenette that’s actually functional (not just a mini-fridge and a prayer), which means you can make coffee in the morning without trekking downstairs. The whole place feels more spacious than typical hotel rooms in the area, and the mountain-facing windows make it feel even bigger. The furnishing is clean and modern — nothing fancy, but everything you need is there and it all works properly.
What Sets It Apart
What really struck me was how this place gets the balance right between being self-contained but not isolated. You’re not dealing with hotel crowds at breakfast, but you’re also not stuck way up some random mountain road. The building is well-maintained (Romanian apartment blocks can be hit or miss, trust me), and the whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical tourist rental. The views change throughout the day too — morning light on the mountains is something else entirely.
Why Guests Love It
After spending time here, I totally get why recent guests rated the location so highly. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing actual Romanian mountain life, not just passing through a tourist bubble. The ski access is genuinely convenient, the parking situation is sorted, and you’ve got space to spread out after a day on the slopes. For couples especially, there’s something nice about having your own little mountain retreat where you can cook dinner together and watch the sunset over the Carpathians. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — just a really solid base for exploring Poiana Brasov properly.
