The rooms are what you’d expect from a well-run pensjonat – clean, comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works. The beds are actually good, which you can’t always count on in mountain accommodations, and the bathrooms are updated enough that you’re not dealing with ancient plumbing quirks.

What really sets this place apart though is the location knowledge and that 9.2 rating isn’t just numbers – you can feel it in how they run things. They’ll tell you exactly when to hit the cable car to avoid crowds (early morning or late afternoon), where to park for free in town (because let’s be honest, those paid lots add up), and which local restaurants are worth your time versus the tourist traps. The breakfast spread is solid Polish mountain fare – nothing Instagram-fancy, but proper fuel for hiking days. Plus, and this matters more than you’d think, the place stays quiet at night even during busy summer season. Some of these mountain towns can get pretty rowdy with weekend crowds, but Kamienna Street stays peaceful. If you’re planning to explore the Karkonosze properly and want a base that feels more like staying with knowledgeable locals than just another booking confirmation, this is your spot.
