No fighting traffic from Petroşani or rushing from some hotel in Râmnicu Vâlcea. The locals know this road better than anyone, and you’ll get actual useful advice about weather conditions, not just generic tourist info. I mean, there’s a reason this little pensiunea has nearly perfect ratings while bigger hotels in the area struggle to break 8.0. It’s because people come here with specific needs – access to serious mountain driving, hiking the Parâng peaks, or just escaping city life for a few days – and the place delivers exactly what it promises. The rooms are quiet (important when you’re planning early starts), parking is right there and secure, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, but sometimes you just want a place that feels like someone’s comfortable home rather than a corporate hotel trying too hard to impress you.
