Park-Hotel Shchastya turned out to be a pleasant discovery during my recent vacation in Skhidnitsa. This three-star hotel is located on Shevchenko Street, 166b, and while the name sounds a bit fairy-tale-like, the place truly lives up to expectations. Parking is free — a big plus, especially in summer when Skhidnitsa is packed with tourists. Check-in went smoothly, staff is friendly, though not everyone speaks English (but this adds authenticity rather than being a hindrance).
The rooms are clean and cozy, with a view of the park — hence the hotel’s name, I suppose. It’s lovely to have morning coffee on the balcony, listening to birdsong instead of city noise. Wi-Fi works reliably, which is important for those who can’t completely disconnect from work. Breakfasts are simple but tasty — traditional Ukrainian cuisine with a homemade touch. Staff gladly shares information about local trails and healing springs, which is very helpful for newcomers to the region.
The only downside — walls are a bit thin, so if neighbors are noisy, it can be uncomfortable in the evenings. But overall the atmosphere is peaceful, especially during off-season. Park-Hotel Shchastya is a good choice for price-quality ratio, especially if you’re looking for a quiet getaway with opportunities to explore Skhidnitsa’s natural beauty. The 8.0 rating is well-deserved — nothing extraordinary, but everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Hotels in the Carpathians provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Hutsul crafts and experience daily life in historic mountain villages.
