Just got back from Oscar in Truskavets and I can say — this three-star hotel was a pleasant surprise. Located on a quiet street (the street name Tyhyi actually matches reality!), just a leisurely 5-minute walk to the resort center. Parking is right next to the hotel — a huge plus, because finding a parking spot during peak season can be a real quest.
Check-in went smoothly, the staff is friendly and speaks Ukrainian without any problems. Rooms are clean, though the furniture looks somewhat dated — but it’s not critical, the main thing is that everything works. WiFi works well even on the upper floors. By the way, if you’re planning to come in autumn or winter, it’s better to ask about heating in advance — in old Truskavets buildings it can sometimes get chilly. Breakfasts are decent (classic Ukrainian dishes plus something European), portions are normal. The only thing that was slightly annoying — you can hear neighboring rooms when people talk loudly late at night, but that’s more a feature of the old building.
The main highlight of the hotel — proximity to all the mineral springs and pump room, where you drink that famous “Naftusia”. Literally 200 meters and you’re already in the park with the spring pavilions. Oscar is really a good option for a health retreat — the price is reasonable, location is perfect, and the 8.0 rating is well deserved. I recommend it, especially if you’re not going for luxury, but for health and peace.
