Honestly, when I first pulled up to Nowe Apartamenty CMK on Konstytucji 3 Maja, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the name sounds pretty formal, but the building actually has this modern, clean look that immediately put me at ease. You know what struck me first? The street itself is surprisingly quiet for being right in Karpacz, which is saying something because this town can get pretty bustling, especially during ski season.
The apartments themselves are spacious in a way that most Polish mountain accommodations just aren’t. I mean, you’re not tripping over your suitcase to get to the bathroom, and there’s actually room to spread out your gear if you’re here for hiking or skiing. The kitchenette setup is legit too – not just some mini-fridge and hot plate situation, but actual counter space and decent appliances. I ended up cooking breakfast a few mornings because, well, the local grocery store is just a short walk away and honestly, hotel breakfast gets old fast. The Wi-Fi works reliably (tested it on multiple video calls), which isn’t always a given in these mountain towns where the internet can be sort of hit-or-miss.
What really sold me on this place though is how the owners seem to actually understand what travelers need. There’s proper heating that you can control yourself – crucial when you’re dealing with those unpredictable Sudeten mountain temperatures. The windows are well-insulated too, so you don’t get that drafty feeling that plagues a lot of older buildings in the area. Parking was straightforward, no hunting around narrow streets or dealing with confusing restrictions like you get closer to the town center. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, but it nails the fundamentals really well. Location-wise, you’re close enough to walk to Karpacz’s main attractions without being right in the thick of tourist chaos, and if you’re planning to hit Śnieżka or explore the national park trails, you’re perfectly positioned. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was traveling with a group or planning a longer stay where having that extra space and kitchen access really pays off.
