Небокрай is a three-star hotel that truly lives up to its name. When I first saw this place in Polyanytsya, I understood why it’s called that — it really feels like you’re at the edge of the sky, especially in the morning when fog wraps around the surrounding mountains. The hotel is located in Prysilok Prokhidnyy, which is a bit away from the main part of Polyanytsya, but that’s actually a plus — it’s much quieter here, and the views are simply incredible. Parking is free, which is very convenient, especially in winter when everyone comes for skiing.
The rooms are quite simple but clean and cozy. Wi-Fi works steadily (which isn’t always a given in mountainous areas), and the views from the windows are so beautiful you just want to sit and stare for hours. The staff is friendly, though not everyone speaks English — but this adds to the place’s authenticity. Breakfast is decent, with traditional Ukrainian dishes predominating, which I personally really enjoyed. The only downside — hot water can sometimes be inconsistent, especially in the evenings when everyone returns from skiing.
In winter it’s a real fairytale — snow up to your knees, and you can reach the ski lifts in a 15-minute walk (or 5 minutes by car). Summer is wonderful too: you can hike in the mountains, breathe fresh air and enjoy the silence. The hotel doesn’t pretend to be luxurious, but for its level it’s quite decent, especially considering the price-to-quality ratio. If you’re looking for a peaceful place with beautiful views and don’t want to overpay for extra services — this is exactly what you need.
Travelers should book a hotel in Bukovel at least two months ahead for major events such as ski competitions and mountain festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular mountain attractions.
