The rooms have this lived-in comfort that makes you want to stay an extra day, and I’m not just saying that because of the 9.9 rating (though honestly, after staying there, I get it). What really impressed me was how they handle the details that most places completely ignore. The check-in process is refreshingly straightforward – no twenty-minute pitch about spa services or breakfast upgrades. Plus, there’s actually decent parking nearby, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate Romanian town centers with a rental car, you’ll appreciate more than you should.

Here’s the thing about Râşnov that makes staying at MyApartment particularly smart: you’re about fifteen minutes from Braşov but without the tourist crowds constantly streaming past your window. The medieval fortress is basically a short walk uphill – and I mean short, not the “short” that travel guides usually lie about. You can grab fresh bread from the bakery two streets over in the morning, then spend your afternoon exploring Bran Castle or the Postăvaru Massif if you’re into hiking. The whole area has this perfect balance where you feel like you’re experiencing authentic Romanian mountain culture, but you’re not roughing it accommodation-wise. I stayed there in late September, and the autumn colors were incredible – though I imagine it gets pretty busy during peak summer season. The staff actually knows the local hiking trails and can point you toward the less crowded spots, which is worth its weight in gold if you’re trying to avoid the Instagram hordes at the popular viewpoints.
