Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Mountain Base – Rezydencja Górski Potok Premium? The name sounds so fancy and official, but when you actually pull up to this place on Szeligówka street in Kościelisko, it feels refreshingly unpretentious. I mean, it’s definitely upscale – this is solid 4-star territory – but there’s something genuinely welcoming about it that you don’t always get with mountain resorts trying too hard to impress. The building itself sits perfectly positioned where you can actually hear the Górski Potok stream it’s named after, which honestly becomes this lovely background soundtrack, especially from the rooms facing the water. Check-in was smooth, parking’s not an issue (always a relief when you’re hauling ski gear or hiking boots), and the staff seemed to actually know the area rather than just reciting tourist brochures.
Here’s the thing about staying in Kościelisko versus Zakopane proper – you’re about 10 minutes from all the main action, but you escape that constant tourist circus atmosphere. Mountain Base gets this balance right. The rooms have that clean, modern mountain lodge feel without going overboard on the rustic theme, and I appreciated details like proper blackout curtains (essential when you’re trying to sleep off a day of hiking) and bathrooms that actually have decent water pressure. The breakfast spread is where they really shine though – proper local cheeses, bread that’s clearly from a real bakery, and coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since dawn. During peak season it can get busy, but even then it never felt chaotic or rushed.
What really sells this place for me is how it works as a base for exploring the Tatras without making you feel like you’re roughing it. You’re literally minutes from trailheads leading up to places like Morskie Oko, but you can also walk to decent restaurants in the village center when you don’t feel like dealing with Zakopane crowds. The 9-point rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the mountains, but everything just works well. Honestly, I’d stay here again, which says something because I’m usually the type to try somewhere new each trip. If you’re planning to spend serious time outdoors but want a comfortable, well-run place to come back to each evening, this hits that sweet spot perfectly.

Coz its so good has it all 👌
I stayed at this house with 3 other adults, a teenager, and 3 young kids. We absolutely loved it! It was in a fantastic location for exploring Zakopane, and had absolutely stunning views of Giewont and the mountains. The house was far more spacious than we expected, and the private sauna and jacuzzi were a real treat. For 8 people, the 5 bathrooms, spread out between the levels, were appreciated. Our kids loved the little playground and all the grassy space to run around. The host was friendly and very easy to communicate with, even warming the house before our arrival and delivering fresh bread to us each morning. The decor and furnishings are to a high standard and very pretty, which adds to the luxurious feel of the place. Every part of the house was perfectly clean. There was plenty of space to park our large van behind an automatic/locked gate, and it felt like a very safe neighbourhood. Everything was just fantastic and I can only hope we can make it back here someday - we won't want to stay anywhere else!
Very good location, the view is something incredible.

Location ,view, comfortable and secure.
Skvěle situovaný dům s výborným vybavením a nádherným výhledem z pokoje, terasy, vířivky i sauny...Každé ráno čerstvé pečivo bylo příjemným bonusem.
Kuchnia wyposażona we wszystkie potrzebne sprzęty. Internet działa bez zarzutu, codziennie rano dostarczane jest świeże pieczywo. No i najważniejsze, widoki na Giewont nieziemskie, świetna lokalizacja, blisko do szlaków, sklepów i restauracji. Mimo, że wokół znajduje się sporo domów, cieszyliśmy się prywatnościa, ciszą i spokojem. Jednym słowem polecam, my na pewno tam wrócimy.
Personel pomocny w 100%.
Duży parking. Żabka, Lewiatan i Cukiernia w bliskim sąsiedztwie. Trzeba się tylko liczyć z dość stromą drogą dojazdową, ale to raczej norma w tych okolicach :)
Z czystym sercem polecamy :)
