MoonLight turned out to be a pleasant find during our ski trip to the Carpathians. Located on Markiyan Shashkevych street, this four-star hotel sits right in the heart of Slavske — literally a five-minute walk to the lifts. Parking is free (which is real luck during season), though there aren’t always enough spots, so it’s better to arrive before evening. Check-in is quick, staff is friendly, although not everyone speaks English.
The rooms are quite spacious and clean, with nice mountain views — especially from the upper floors. Plumbing works fine, hot water is available constantly, which is very important after a day on the slopes. Wi-Fi works decently even in the rooms, though it can glitch sometimes (that’s pretty typical for mountain hotels anyway). Soundproofing is average — if your neighbors like to party after skiing, you might hear conversations, but nothing critical. In winter the heating works well, rooms stay warm even on the coldest days.
Breakfasts are decent, though the menu isn’t very diverse — standard set of omelets, sausages, cheeses, and coffee. But portions are normal, and you’ll definitely be full until lunch on the slopes after breakfast. The hotel restaurant operates until late evening, prices are a bit inflated, but that’s normal for a resort. By the way, if you go in summer, it’s also nice here — many hiking trails start nearby, and the hotel terrace has wonderful evening views. For this money and location it’s quite a worthy option, though without any particular frills.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
