You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to this place on Zamkowa Street – I mean, apartment rentals can be hit or miss, right? But honestly, this little gem in Marczyce completely surprised me. The mountain views from the windows are absolutely stunning, and I’m talking about proper Karkonosze peaks stretching out in front of you, not some distant hills you have to squint to see.

The location is actually pretty clever – you’re technically in Marczyce, but you’re basically at the doorstep of Karpacz without dealing with all the tourist chaos on the main strips. It’s about a 10-minute drive to get into the heart of Karpacz proper, which means you can hit Śnieżka or the ski slopes easily enough, but you come home to this peaceful spot where you can actually hear yourself think. The Sosnówka area is known for being quieter anyway, and this place lives up to that reputation. I could hear birds in the morning instead of tour buses rumbling by – honestly refreshing after staying in some of the busier mountain towns.

What really sold me on the place was how thoughtfully it’s set up. The owners clearly understand what mountain visitors actually need. There’s proper space to dry your hiking gear (crucial if you get caught in one of those afternoon storms), the kitchen is equipped well enough that you can cook real meals instead of surviving on hotel breakfast, and – this might sound small – but the wifi actually works reliably, which isn’t always guaranteed in these mountain locations. The heating system is solid too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying in the Sudetes in shoulder season. I stayed there in late October and it was perfectly cozy even when temperatures dropped at night. The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of place where small details are handled well, though it’s not trying to be some luxury resort experience. It’s comfortable, authentic, and positioned perfectly for exploring this part of the mountains without the premium prices you’d pay right in Karpacz center.
