Walk five minutes in any direction and you’ll find yourself on actual village streets where people are just living their lives, not performing for visitors. The breakfast – well, it’s not going to win any Instagram awards, but it’s solid local fare that’ll fuel you for a day in the mountains. And here’s something I appreciated: they don’t blast music in the common areas or try to create some artificial atmosphere. It just feels like a place where mountain people would actually stay, which in my book is exactly what you want when you’re exploring this part of Slovakia.
