Маєток “ZYMON & SKI” turned out to be a real gem for our ski trip to Bukovel. This three-star hotel is located right in the Vyshnya area, which means you’re literally two steps away from the lifts and all the main action. When we arrived in February, the owners greeted us very warmly (although check-in is officially at 2:00 PM, they let us leave our bags earlier). Parking is free right next to the building, which is incredibly convenient, especially when you’re hauling ski equipment.
The rooms are quite cozy, though don’t expect five-star luxury — everything here is practical and homey. The heating works perfectly (important in mountain conditions!), hot water is always available, and Wi-Fi works even on the second floor. Breakfasts are fairly standard but filling — scrambled eggs, sausages, cheese, coffee. The staff speaks Ukrainian and Russian, English is a bit more challenging, but you can manage with gestures. The windows offer a decent view of the slopes, especially beautiful in the morning when the sun illuminates the snow-covered spruces.
What I particularly liked was the location for skiers. It’s literally a 5-7 minute leisurely walk to the “Bukovel-1” lift, even in ski boots. In the evening, when the slopes close, you can quickly return, take a shower, and head out for dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. In summer, it’s probably nice here too — there are gazebos for barbecuing and quite a green territory. Overall, for the money (we paid around 1200 hryvnias per night for two), this is a solid option for an active vacation without unnecessary frills.
