Magurka Space is a real gem in the Carpathians that I discovered last summer during a trip to Verkhovyna. This four-star hotel is located in the picturesque hamlet of присілок Магурка, and while the address might seem remote, this very isolation is what makes it special. The road there is a bit winding (especially in rainy weather), but the hotel managers send detailed driving directions — very helpful. Parking is free right at the entrance, which is rare for mountain hotels.
What I liked most is the feeling of genuine mountain tranquility. In the morning you wake up to birdsong, not the rumble of cars. The rooms are spacious and clean, with large windows and wonderful forest views. The staff is very friendly — the reception is always ready to recommend hiking routes or the best spots for photo shoots. Check-in went smoothly, even though I arrived a bit earlier than standard time. Wi-Fi works reliably (important when you need to stay connected), and the restaurant serves delicious Carpathian cuisine — definitely try the banosh!
It must be especially magical here in winter (judging by the photos they showed), but summer is incredible too. The only downside — you’ll have to drive to the nearest store, so it’s better to stock up on everything you need in advance. But for those seeking a real break from city hustle, Magurka Space is the perfect choice. The 8.0 rating is well-deserved, and I’ll definitely return here in autumn.
