Magura Resort turned out to be a real find in Yablunytsya — I honestly didn’t expect this level of quality from a four-star hotel in the Carpathians. I stayed there last winter for a ski week, and I’m already planning to return with my family in summer. The hotel is located slightly above the village center, but that’s actually a plus — it’s quieter, and the mountain views are simply incredible (especially in the morning from the balcony). Parking is free, though in winter you have to wrestle with the snow a bit — bring a shovel if you’re driving your own car.
The rooms are spacious and clean, hot water is always available (which isn’t always guaranteed in mountain hotels), and they change the bedding every other day. Wi-Fi works stably even on the upper floors — important for those who can’t completely disconnect from work. The staff is friendly, though not everyone speaks English — but this is the Carpathians, it’s better to know basic Ukrainian here. The restaurant cooks well, portions are large, prices are reasonable — I recommend the mushroom borscht and grilled meat. Breakfast is included in the price, the selection is decent, though they could have more local dishes.
It’s a 10-15 minute walk to the lifts, in winter the path can be slippery, so bring proper shoes. In summer it’s probably even better here — many hiking trails start right nearby. The only minus — the walls are a bit thin, so if your neighbors are noisy, you might hear them. But overall, for the money, this is an excellent option for an active vacation in Yablunytsya.
Travelers should book a hotel in Bukovel at least two months ahead for major events such as ski competitions and mountain festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular mountain attractions.
