Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Luxury Lake House & Glamping” on DJ102I in Teşila, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The address sounds pretty remote (and it sort of is), but that’s actually the whole point. You’re about an hour northeast of Buzău, tucked into this gorgeous pocket of Buzău County where the hills start getting serious and the tourist buses don’t really venture.
The property itself is… well, it’s one of those places that makes you understand why glamping became a thing. The lake house sits right on the water – and I mean right on it, like you can hear the gentle lapping from the main deck. The glamping tents are scattered around the property with enough space between them that you’re not listening to your neighbors’ conversations, which honestly surprised me given how popular this place has gotten (that 9.7 rating isn’t a fluke). Each tent comes with proper beds, not those camping cots that destroy your back, and the bathroom situation is way better than you’d expect. There’s something really satisfying about falling asleep to actual nature sounds instead of traffic, you know?
What really got me was the morning routine here. You wake up and there’s this mist rising off the lake – I mean, it sounds cliché but it’s genuinely beautiful. The staff brings coffee around early if you want it, and they know the area like crazy. They’ll tell you exactly which trails are worth your time (the one heading toward the forest behind the property takes about 45 minutes and ends at this viewpoint that’s not marked on any tourist maps). The food situation is solid too – they source a lot from local farms, and you can actually taste the difference. I’m not usually one of those farm-to-table people, but the tomatoes here made me reconsider some things.
Parking is easy, which matters more than you might think when you’re hauling camping gear or just want to make multiple trips from your car. Check-in was surprisingly smooth for a place that feels this off-the-grid – they’ve got their systems figured out. The only thing I’d warn you about is that cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier, but there’s decent WiFi in the main house if you absolutely need to stay connected. Peak season here seems to be late spring through early fall, and I’d definitely book ahead if you’re planning a weekend trip. The whole vibe is relaxed but not sleepy – there’s enough happening (kayaking, hiking, just lounging by the lake) that you won’t get bored, but it’s not one of those places where they’re constantly organizing activities either. It strikes this nice balance where you can be as social or as hermit-like as you want.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
