Luxury 2 bedroom holiday apartment
You know what struck me first about this place? The address looks intimidating with all those numbers and Romanian street names, but honestly, once you’re there on Strada Carpaților, it feels like you’ve found this perfect little secret in Brașov. The building itself is one of those solid Eastern European apartment blocks – I mean, don’t expect boutique hotel charm from the outside – but step into apartment 27 and it’s a completely different world.
The space is genuinely spacious, which is saying something because I’ve stayed in plenty of “luxury” places that turned out to be glorified closets. Two proper bedrooms, and when I say proper, I mean you can actually walk around the beds without stubbing your toes. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the local markets – and trust me, you’ll want to because the produce in Brașov is incredible, especially if you hit up the weekend market near the old town. The living area has these big windows that let in tons of natural light, though in winter it gets dark pretty early, so the warm lighting they’ve got set up really makes a difference.
Location-wise, you’re about a 15-minute walk to the historic center, which is perfect because you avoid the tourist crowds right outside your door but you’re close enough that you’re not spending half your budget on taxis. The neighborhood is quiet – mostly locals, some families – so don’t expect nightlife right outside, but that’s honestly refreshing after a day of exploring. Parking can be a bit tricky (welcome to European cities), but there’s usually street parking if you’re patient, and the hosts are pretty good about giving you the real scoop on where to leave your car.
What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail. The Wi-Fi actually works reliably – I was doing some remote work and had zero issues with video calls. The shower has proper water pressure, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong. And the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night. The 9.8 rating isn’t just inflated reviews from friends and family; people genuinely seem to love staying here. The hosts respond quickly to messages and seem to actually care about your experience, not just getting their payment and disappearing.
If you’re planning to explore the Carpathian Mountains or do day trips to the castles – and honestly, why else would you be in Brașov – this makes a perfect base. You’ve got proper space to spread out your hiking gear, a real kitchen for making coffee before those early morning adventures, and it’s quiet enough that you’ll actually get good sleep between all that castle-hopping and mountain climbing. Just don’t expect luxury hotel services like daily housekeeping or a concierge, but for the price point and the space you get, it’s pretty hard to beat.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
