The first thing that hit me walking in was how quiet it was, which is saying something since you’re literally a five-minute walk from Coresi Mall. I mean, you can see the mall from some of the windows, but somehow the street noise just… doesn’t penetrate. Maybe it’s the way the building sits back from the main road, or the quality of those windows – either way, I slept like a baby every night.

The apartments themselves feel more like someone’s actual home than a hotel room with a kitchenette slapped in. The kitchen has proper counter space (you know how rare that is in these places), and they’ve stocked it with decent cookware – not the flimsy stuff that makes you want to order takeout instead. Speaking of which, there’s a Kaufland just down the street if you want to grab groceries, and honestly, cooking breakfast while looking out at the Carpathian foothills in the distance became my favorite part of the morning routine. The living areas are spacious without feeling empty, and whoever picked the furniture actually thought about comfort – the couch doesn’t feel like a prop, if you know what I mean.

What really won me over though was the location without the chaos. Sure, being next to Coresi means you’ve got everything – restaurants, shops, that massive Carrefour when you need random stuff at 9 PM – but you’re also perfectly positioned for the rest of Brașov. The old town is maybe fifteen minutes by car, or you can catch a bus right from the mall. And here’s something the booking sites don’t tell you: parking is actually stress-free here. No circling blocks looking for a spot, no weird time restrictions. The staff was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that overly formal hotel speak, just helpful people who seemed to genuinely want you to have a good stay. I had an issue with the TV remote (totally my fault, I’m hopeless with technology), and they sorted it out in minutes without making me feel like an idiot. The 9.1 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but everything just works the way it should.
