Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Luxury Apartment” as the name, I rolled my eyes a little. But this place on Strada Postăvarului actually lives up to it, which honestly surprised me. It’s tucked away on the first floor of this charming building that feels properly Brașov, you know? Not some sterile modern block, but something with character.

The location is what really got me though. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the Old Town square – I mean, you can practically hear the evening buzz from Piața Sfatului if you open the windows. But here’s the thing that most people don’t realize: being on this particular street means you’re close enough to everything but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds stumbling back from the bars at 2 AM. I stayed here during peak summer season and honestly slept like a baby. The building itself has thick walls (thank god for old Romanian construction), so even when there were people on the street, it barely registered.

What struck me most was how they’ve managed to make it feel like an actual apartment rather than a hotel room pretending to be one. The kitchen is properly equipped – I mean, I actually cooked breakfast there instead of just making instant coffee. There’s this great little market on Republicii where you can grab fresh bread and local cheese, maybe a ten-minute walk if you take your time. The whole setup just works, especially if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights. I found myself settling in rather than just passing through, which doesn’t happen often when I travel.

The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’re there. It’s not flashy or trying too hard, but everything just… functions well. Hot water pressure that doesn’t quit, WiFi that actually works for video calls (tested extensively), and honestly, the bed was comfortable enough that I considered asking where they got their mattress. Small touches too – decent coffee in the kitchen, proper hangers in the closet, enough outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your devices.

Here’s something I appreciated that you might not think about: parking in Brașov can be an absolute nightmare, especially anywhere near the center. But they sorted that out, which saved me from circling the blocks like a vulture every evening. Also, if you’re planning to explore beyond the city – and you should, because the hiking around Poiana Brașov is incredible – you’re positioned perfectly. Easy access without the hassle of navigating through the pedestrian zones every time you want to head out.

The whole experience felt refreshingly straightforward. No overly enthusiastic front desk person trying to sell you tours, no complicated key card systems that never work. Just a well-thought-out space in a city that can sometimes feel overrun with tourists but somehow isn’t, at least not on this quiet street. For a 3-star place, it punches well above its weight – honestly felt more comfortable than some 4-star places I’ve stayed at that were twice the price.
