It’s actually tucked away on this quiet side street in Azuga where you’d almost miss it if you weren’t looking – but honestly, that’s part of its charm. I mean, most people think of this area as just a quick stop on the way to bigger mountain resorts, but the Lux Garden sits right in this sweet spot where you get all the Carpathian mountain views without the tourist circus.

The place has this understated elegance that feels refreshingly real for a 5-star spot. When I walked into the lobby, there was this subtle scent of cedar and something floral (probably from their actual gardens out back), and the staff didn’t do that overly formal thing that makes you feel like you’re interrupting something important. The rooms are spacious – I’m talking about actual space to spread out your stuff, not just enough room to squeeze around the bed. What really got me was the attention to details that actually matter: blackout curtains that work, a shower with proper water pressure, and – this might sound weird – but the WiFi reaches every corner of the room, even the bathroom. The mountain views from the upper floors are pretty spectacular, especially in the morning when the mist is still clinging to the peaks.

Here’s what I really appreciate about this place though – it feels connected to where it is. The restaurant sources a lot from local suppliers (you can taste the difference in the bread alone), and the concierge actually knows the hiking trails personally instead of just handing you a generic map. Parking is easy and free, which is more of a relief than you’d think in this area. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevator can be a bit slow during peak hours, but honestly, it’s such a small issue when everything else works so well. The 9.3 rating makes total sense when you stay here – it’s not trying to be flashy or Instagram-perfect, it’s just genuinely good at being a hotel. If you’re planning to explore the Prahova Valley or you want a base for mountain activities without staying in some massive resort complex, this is exactly the kind of place you’d want to come back to after a long day.

We are coming often at the Lux Garden, we like the rooms due to the space and comfortable , we like the view, which is amazing, food is very good, staff are all nice people.

We had a breakfast, was great. And we also decided to eat lunch there which was super tasty and with fair prices.
The location was great, it is right next to the slope. I just wished that the cable cars would be united under one ski pass.

The location is very good, as it is close to Cazacu ski slopes (both for beginners and advanced); basically a walking few minutes distance. The rooms are nice and clean, and the beds are so comfortable. You can find every convenience in the rooms - from bathroom slippers and bathrobes to hairdryer and even an espresso machine. There is a fairly well supplied mini bar available also. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also a playground available outside and a playroom for children inside and it is so nice to play there. In the play room, in the afternoon, they project animation movies for children. The hotel has a spacious underground parking as well. The spa is nice, and there is an indoor pool available in any season. The hotel has its own restaurant with very good food , and also with a children menu available. The pièce de resistance is the lovely mountain view from both the restaurants and most of the rooms. Would definitely come again.
