Лісова Хатина-ЧАН is a real gem for those who want to escape the city hustle. When I first arrived in Сойми, I didn’t expect to find such a cozy spot nestled in the forest. This three-star hotel feels more like a genuine family estate than a regular hotel. The hosts greeted us at seven in the evening (I had called ahead to warn about our late arrival), and you could immediately sense that every guest is treated with special care. Parking is free — you just leave your car by the entrance under the pine trees.

The rooms are small but thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details. We had a room with a forest view, and in the morning it was incredibly pleasant to wake up to birdsong instead of car sounds. Wi-Fi works reliably (I checked my work email), though honestly, this place makes you want to disconnect from everything digital. The owners mentioned that the best time to visit is autumn or early spring — summer can be a bit noisy due to children in neighboring rooms, but that didn’t bother us. The shower is hot, the bedding is fresh, and there’s no air conditioning — but you open the window and the cool forest air does its job perfectly.

Breakfast is served in a small dining room with wooden tables — nothing fancy, but everything is tasty and homemade. I especially loved the cheese pancakes and homemade jam. The hostess recommended a forest walking route (about an hour’s walk to a small lake), and it was the best decision of the day. The only downside is that mobile reception is a bit weak here, but for a short getaway that’s actually a plus. The price is quite reasonable for this kind of atmosphere and service. I’ll definitely return here in autumn when the leaves change color.
