Котеджі Карпати Fest turned out to be a real gem in Mizhhirʼʼya — a place where you can truly escape the city hustle. This four-star complex is located on Khustska Street, and while the address sounds quite urban, you actually find yourself in a cozy corner surrounded by Carpathian landscapes. Parking here is free (which isn’t always a given in the mountains), and check-in went smoothly — the hosts are very friendly and immediately told us about all the interesting spots nearby.
The cottages are genuinely comfortable, with everything needed for a good rest — the kitchen is equipped with all the essentials, so you can cook for yourself if you want home-cooked food after hiking. I especially loved that the windows face the mountains, and in the morning you can drink coffee with a view of the forests (in autumn it’s absolutely magical with all those yellow and red colors). The only thing to keep in mind is that it can get quite busy in summer since the place is popular among tourists, but that’s more of a plus than a minus, as it creates a nice community atmosphere among travelers.
Overall, for the money, this is an excellent choice for those who love active mountain vacations but don’t want to sacrifice comfort. Mizhhirʼʼya is an ideal base for hiking, and after a busy day it’s lovely to return to a cozy cottage. The hosts can also recommend routes depending on your fitness level, which is very convenient. In winter, by the way, it’s wonderful here too — you can ski nearby, and in the evening warm up by the fireplace.
