Kotedzh Smereka

Kotedzh Smereka turned out to be a real gem in Kelechin — a quiet town where you can truly escape the urban hustle and bustle. This four-star hotel feels more like a cozy estate than a standard hotel, and that’s exactly what caught my attention from the first glance. The hosts are very welcoming and always ready to help — they even showed me the best spots for morning walks around the area (and the views there are truly worth getting up early for). Parking is free right at the entrance, which is very convenient, especially when you’re traveling with luggage.

The rooms in the cottage are spacious and decorated with soul — you can feel that they really thought about guest comfort here, rather than just arranging standard furniture. My room overlooked the garden, and it was so pleasant to drink coffee in the morning while looking at the greenery outside the window. Wi-Fi works reliably (I was checking work emails), hot water is available constantly, and the air conditioning is quiet — I slept wonderfully all three nights. Breakfast is served in a small dining room with a homey atmosphere, and while the selection isn’t huge, everything is fresh and delicious. I especially liked the cottage cheese pancakes — definitely homemade, not semi-finished products.

The location is perfect for those seeking tranquility but don’t want to be cut off from civilization. You can walk to the center of Kelechin in 15 minutes at a leisurely pace, and if you need shops or a pharmacy — everything is nearby. It’s very quiet in the evenings (no car noise at all!), but if you’re used to the constant noise of a metropolis, it might seem too quiet. For me personally, this worked perfectly — I finally got a proper night’s sleep. The price is quite reasonable for this level of comfort and service, I’ll definitely return here again, maybe in autumn — I can imagine how picturesque it must be among the yellow leaves.
