Котedж Любов is a real find in the small village of Solochin! When I first arrived here last summer, I wasn’t expecting anything special from a three-star hotel, but this place was a pleasant surprise. The hosts met us at half past one in the morning (our flight was delayed), and they didn’t even complain — just warmly showed us to our room and offered tea. Parking is free right next to the building, which is very convenient, especially if you’re driving your own car from the city.
The cottage itself is small but cozy — you feel at home rather than in some impersonal hotel. The room has everything you need: clean bedding, working Wi-Fi (though it sometimes slows down in the evenings when everyone’s online), a mini-fridge, and even an electric kettle with a tea set. The windows face a courtyard with apple trees, so you wake up in the morning to birdsong — romantic, but if you’re a night owl like me, it’s surprising at first. The bathroom is compact, but everything works, and there’s hot water all the time.
The breakfasts here are homemade — the hostess makes pancakes that melt in your mouth and brews real coffee (not instant!). Overall, the atmosphere is very family-like: you can chat with the owners about local sights, and they’ll tell you the best places to walk and where to buy fresh produce. In summer you can sit in the garden with a book, and in winter there’s a working stove in the house — really warm and cozy. For the money and with this kind of service — I recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a quiet place away from city hustle and bustle.
