Just got back from Котедж GRAY in Verkhovyna, and I have to say — this is really a cozy place for a Carpathian getaway. This four-star cottage is located on Chornovola Street, a bit away from the town center, which creates pleasant quiet (especially in the evenings when you just want to relax after a full day of hiking). Parking is right by the building — very convenient when you arrive in your own car with a trunk full of tourist gear.
The cottage has a fairly modern look inside, though it still maintains that mountain charm you come here for. The rooms are spacious, with nice views of the Verkhovyna surroundings — particularly beautiful in the morning when fog slowly descends from the mountains. The staff is friendly, though someone isn’t always at reception (better to coordinate check-in time in advance). I liked that the room had everything needed for a comfortable stay — proper heating (important in autumn), hot water around the clock, Wi-Fi works steadily.
As for location — it’s about a fifteen-minute walk to downtown Verkhovyna, even closer to the nearest cafes and shops. In winter, it would probably be perfect for those planning to ski, and in summer it’s convenient for starting routes to waterfalls or into the mountains. Overall, for the money, Котедж GRAY delivers what you need — clean, warm, quiet, with the possibility to get a good night’s sleep before new adventures.
