Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “KOA Twin Tower” I was expecting something a bit more… corporate? But this place on Strada Ioan Popasu actually surprised me in the best way. The rooms themselves are solid 4-star quality, nothing flashy but everything works the way it should. Good shower pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in Europe), decent Wi-Fi, and the beds are actually comfortable – not too soft, not like sleeping on a board. The soundproofing is pretty good too, which matters because Romanian streets can get lively, especially on weekends.

Here’s the thing that really sealed it for me though – the view from some of the upper floors gives you this perfect glimpse of the Carpathians without being one of those overly touristy spots where you’re paying extra just for the Instagram shot. Parking was straightforward, which is honestly half the battle when you’re dealing with these historic city centers. The breakfast spread was better than I expected too, with actual local stuff mixed in with the usual hotel fare. I mean, sure, it’s not going to revolutionize your life, but for a 4-star in Brașov, they’re doing something right – that 9.3 rating isn’t just lucky timing. If you’re planning to explore Transylvania and want a reliable base that doesn’t feel like every other chain hotel, this place actually delivers on what it promises.
