Карпатські Зорі

Карпатські Зорі is exactly the kind of place where you want to stay a few days longer than planned. Located in the picturesque village of Пилипець, this three-star hotel truly lives up to its name — the views of the Carpathian ridges from the room windows are incredible, especially at sunrise. The staff here works like one family, always ready to help organize excursions or suggest the best hiking routes. The rooms are quite cozy (though a bit compact), but after a full day in the fresh air that’s actually a plus — you fall asleep faster to the sounds of mountain silence.

I was particularly impressed by the local cuisine in the hotel restaurant — they make borscht here according to grandma’s recipe, and the Carpathian potato pancakes are simply outstanding. In winter the hotel becomes a real fairy tale — there are wonderful ski slopes nearby, and in summer it’s an ideal base for mountain hikes. Parking is free (which is rare for mountain hotels), though spaces are limited, so it’s better to arrive before evening. WiFi works stably even in the rooms, which was a pleasant surprise. The only thing that might be slightly bothersome — the walls aren’t too thick, so if neighbors like to return late from walks, you might hear it. But overall the atmosphere here is so homely and peaceful that all the minor details fade into the background — this is truly a place you want to return to again and again.
