“Карпати”

Just got back from Карпати in Yablunytsya, and I can say — this place really impresses. This four-star hotel is located right in the heart of the mountain village, and from the doorstep you feel the special atmosphere of the Carpathians. The staff welcomed us very warmly (even though we arrived a bit earlier than check-in time), and immediately offered hot tea while they prepared our room. Parking is free right by the hotel — this is important because during peak season parking can be tight.

The rooms are spacious and cozy, with incredible mountain views. In the morning you wake up to bird songs, not car noise — like a natural alarm clock. Breakfasts are generous, with local products: homemade cheese, Hutsul sour cream, fresh bread. I especially loved the homemade dumplings with potatoes and cracklings. WiFi works reliably (which isn’t always obvious in the mountains), so you can easily share photos with friends.

The location is perfect for those who love active recreation — it’s close to the ski lift, and in summer it’s convenient to start hiking trails from here. The hosts give useful advice about local attractions and can organize transfers to popular spots. In winter it’s especially cozy here: fireplace in the lobby, hot mulled wine after skiing, and that special mountain silence in the evening. One thing — in autumn and spring it can be a bit chilly in the rooms, but this is quickly solved with an extra blanket. I’ll definitely return here again, especially in winter!
