Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Saneczkowa 3 – I mean, apartment rentals can be hit or miss, you know? But Kamilkowy Apartament turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you want to keep the place secret (though clearly I’m terrible at that since I’m writing about it).
The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Karpacz at all. Saneczkowa street is tucked away from the main tourist chaos around the market square, but you’re still close enough to walk to everything without feeling like you’re hiking to get dinner. What I really loved was how quiet it gets at night – none of that late-night revelry echoing off the buildings like you get closer to the center. The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there, not like those sterile vacation rentals that smell like industrial cleaning products. The kitchen had proper coffee (thank god), and I spent way too many mornings just sitting by the window watching locals walk their dogs before the day-trippers arrived. There’s something really satisfying about feeling temporarily local in a place like Karpacz, especially when you can see Śnieżka peak right there reminding you why everyone comes here in the first place.
You know what really sold me on this place? The small stuff that whoever runs it clearly thought about. The WiFi actually works – like, properly works, not that frustrating trickle you get in half the mountain accommodations. The shower has decent pressure, which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy but somehow always is when you’re staying somewhere new. And parking… well, anyone who’s driven around Karpacz during peak season knows what a nightmare that can be, but they’ve got it sorted. I also appreciated that check-in wasn’t some complicated dance of meeting strangers in random parking lots – everything was straightforward and professional without being cold. The whole setup just works, which probably explains that 9.6 rating. I mean, you don’t get scores like that by accident, especially not in a place where tourists have plenty of options and aren’t shy about their opinions. If I’m being completely honest, the only thing I’d change is maybe having grabbed a few extra days there – Karpacz has this way of growing on you once you settle in and stop rushing around trying to see everything at once.
